hmm. ok haoxia's leaving on 6 june, which is a wednesday (is it? i think so lah.) heard from the seniors that they want to make him a video with everyone's pictures inside. haven't got any inkling what the juniors want to do for him. so.. er, what should we give him?

after thinking long and hard the other day at pepper lunch (ok not really), it seems like he lacks nothing practical. he's got his binocs his camera his watches sunglasses blah blah blah. all he needs is a girlfriend.

ello everyone! i'm currently looking forward to this 20th May get-together cum farewell. But, i would rather not think of it as a farewell tho' .. hehh. so cya all then!!!

time: 6pm

venue: function room of ritchell/rimmel's condo.
The Gardens @ Bishan, Sin Ming Walk.

food: we'd be catering. price per head is unconfirmed as of now. add the cost of haoxia's present to that... yeah it won't be just $10 yeah.

hope to settle food and haoxia's present with whoever who's going to clubmomo today :) huiwen has suggested a caterer... will print out some bah. meanwhile, think of a good present? aiyer. realise i've been talking about the same things over and over again lei. hruhurhur, next entry: pictures of leilei dancing. okay, haoxia just told me yesterday that he bought a new camera already. plan flopped. boohoo. so everyone crack your brains and think of what to get him by sunday.

anyway, he's leaving on 6th june, and in the morning he'll be doing his last water session with the juniors in the morning :( come by if you're free.

our juniors all did v well! here are the prizes they won! :D

k2 500m under 19 - silver

the rest did well too! our grdjnr sylvia got into finals for t1 1000m open, grdjnr xinyi got 4th for t1 500m open too [behind sophia], and every boat made it to at least semis except for 2 grndjunior t1s. yeaps, not bad right. this year got hope!

as for me and yimtong we got into semis [and met deb&my k2! haha] :P which i personally think was not bad already :D

yeahhhh. so for now everyone think of what to buy for haoxia k!

oh man. what an outing. beg to differ with the workaholics part. was super unwilling to work that day, but what choice do we have. thanks huiwen for the fantabulous update!

ok regarding getting haoxia a digicam... couldn't agree more. can ask a friend's friend working at canon to see if she can help us get it cheap. was looking at the ixus 70 myself but decided against spending more money. anyway, from that friend's friend, the ixus70 is going for $465 with a 2GB SD card (retail price $529). errr, not much of a saving lah, but still... shall we try?

also checked out the ixus 850 awyong suggested. it has similar specs to the ixus 70 actually, but the price.. ok let's just say it retails for $699, so after getting staff price it may still be a tad expensive?

once the our batch is agreeable the messages shall start going out to the seniors and juniors. speaking of which, we haven't decided on a place and time for our big day on 20th may. and we need to make sure that haoxia can join us on that day too.

decided to post something here although i was the one who was against a hcanoe blog. :P but since rina's nice enough to set up this blog i shall help rina with it! (:

ANYWAY, today's gathering was a SUCCESS (: even though we didnt get to eat at the place we initially wanted [La Nonna at Namly Place], it was still good at Tea Party over at Sixth Avenue [after walking 2km] with good company! there was a freaking TEN of US today! stupid 6a people all workaholics [except lene who came] and wenyi who was busy. :( even sharon the busy woman came! after missing so many canoe outings!

sorry awyong there was no cake for us to buy so couldnt celebrate your birthday! :( HAPPY 19TH BIRTHDAY AWYONG! [3 more days later] last year we had a blast at island creamery!

OKAY and to update the rest about the wonderful things we planned today, we are going to Gotham Penthouse to drink on WEDNESDAY 16th MAY, 9pm! it's at CLARKE QUAY. and for many who are working in office and is unwilling to head home for dinner first, we are eating dinner at The Central at 7pm! probably some cheap stuff so that we'll have more money for pubbing (: and we'll be visting clubs together soon! only leilei will hit the dance floor too so you all can pei her! the rest of us will be sitting around screaming [you cant talk normally in there]

and we're watching PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN 3 on VESAK DAY! so please keep it free! (:

hi, again.

just received message from ritchelle. we'll have like 10 people from the senior batch who can join us on 20 may :) ok lah... not a FULL full thing, but still a big reunion?

so, now we have to confirm the time and venue, so that the seniors know where to go. dinner? picnic? haha am personally for a picnic (but thinks of the monkeys at macritchie).

(1) so please keep the suggestions and agreements on where to go coming in :)
(2) any gift we have in mind for haoxia? think he has enough scrapbooks to keep already lah, how about something practical?
